This one is the first blogger sites I set up and it’s all about amazing educational finds online.. from sites to free offers. I teach tech, so we use a lot of these resources and I never cease to be amazed at the plethora of wonderful free educational tools and services available on the wide world web. I found this wonderful blogger theme (see January’s “Best Blogger Themes and How-to“) and thought it perfect for the type of blog I wanted to do. I have many categories that help to organize the various posts.. from assorted grades, subjects to homeschooling and freebies. I also occasionally share a lesson or two that I’ve personally taught in class and saw great results with. Check out great-edu-sites.blogspot.coms

So, this is a newer one I call “Enter to win!” I like sweepstakes and enter to win contests. I mostly like to win, but you can’t win if you don’t enter. I find it handy to have a place to go for a fresh supply of contest sites to enter. There are many out there, but sometimes you have to become a member and log in for access or sift through miles of content to find the actual sweeps. I wanted to put something together that was easy to find and do, quickly, without any other gobblygook to slow things down. So, I found this blogger theme that was perfect for the type of entry listing format I had in mind. All the newer contest go directly to the top and basically everything new displays right there on the front page. No need to search. I can’t cover ALL the contests out there, but I do try to post some quality ones along with some personal favorites. Check out nter2win.blogspot.com

Blogger is the perfect platform for the beginner. As you can see, it’s still fun for the not-so-beginners too. Blogger sites are easy to set up. You can have your site and content ideas up and online in 15 minutes and there are tons of themes to choose from too. I have a total of 6 blogger blogs. You can see the list of them on my blogger profile. Two were featured above and below are thumbnails of a few more, but they offer less content or simply pull the rss feed from one of my larger domains. But maybe you’d like to take a look at them anyways.

It’s been a while since I did an update on all my sites and I’ve actually been pretty busy with too! So without further ado…

I’ve added several new baby boomer related article posts to my BabyBoomerDivas.com site. I’m attempting to choose content that I think is relevant to the baby boomers of the world, both working and retired. I figure, if it interest me, it may interest others! Hope I’m on the right track there. Check out the blog and let me know.

At my MomsRewards.com site, I’m updated a lot of content on the main page, but have also added some of the BEST freebies I’ve come across lately, to the rewards area. I hope you’ve been able to stop by and pick up some of those freebies for yourself. You know, they never last long.

Probably my most time consuming project of late, but also the most fun I have to say, was going through many of my grand-aunt’s photos and collections and scanning them for eventual inclusion at my Irene-lentz.com site. I have already posted several new photos of Irene, some designs and photos with her brother – my grandfather, Kline Lentz. It’s great fun. I hope you get the chance to browse them.

Still getting things aligned and set up right at Wahmbuds.com, but have also gotten several more pages added to the site. Everything is work at home mom related here. That’s the focus and I’m sticking to it! I added a page of work at home jobs I’m real happy with too!

I don’t know, but at FromKarlyn.com, I went from writing about my wonderful copper dog and the shelter we adopted him from, to how much I love coffee.. but that’s one of the fun things about having your own site. You can do that. :) I don’t know who wants to know, beyond myself, but there are some really great things about coffee. I love coffee. Hmm..

I felt inspired and wrote about finding your passion, for my LivePeaceandPassion.com site. Letting your passion guide you in life is something I feel pretty strongly about and write about in different ways here and there. I plan to have a step 2 and 3 eventually, but step 1 is posted for now.

I also added content for Moms at YeahMom.com and Work at home info at Wahmiam.com. See? I told you I’ve been busy.

Site Re-Designs..

I spent some time this last week on a couple of re-designs. If you click on the images here, you will be brought to the website, where you can see the new design as it is meant to be seen.

First up, was WahmBuds.com. This old site of mine has been around since 2005.. not my oldest site, but still.. over the last few years, it’s seen it’s share of design changes. This most recent decision to re-design was actually forced upon me as the site had some database casualties in my recent web-hosting move. But no tears shed here. I like the occasional challenge.. especially when it involves design. I went out there this time and had the idea of going nostalgic. I just went with the idea and kept an open mind to see where it brought me. I ended up being quite happy with the final design and felt that it represents women of all ages and background in their quest to find quality work at home, quality time with family and a good balance between the two.

Next up, was my BabyBoomerDivas.com site. I was simply tired of the old design.. two years with the same colors is one year too many in my opinion. So, I indulged myself and re-designed this site based on my mood of the day, which was fun, light and full of bold purples and burgundies. Some times, you just have to see where things take you, you know? Most often than not, I’m happy with the results when I give myself time to do just that. I like the bold colors and fun feel. Do you?
